Benghazi Terrorist May Be Defended by Bill Clinton’s Lewinsky White House Counsel

Liberal experts have kept insisting that the best way to deal with Jihadists is to win them over with civilian trials, instead of Gitmo and waterboarding. So far no one has been over.
The Libyan militia leader accused of being part of the deadly 2012 attack on a U.S. diplomatic compound in Benghazi, Libya, has been “compliant but not cooperative” with U.S. interrogators, Representative Mike Rogers said on Sunday.
Ahmed Abu Khatallah, captured in Libya earlier this month by U.S. forces and held for nearly two weeks aboard a U.S. Navy vessel, was transferred to federal custody on Saturday. He appeared in U.S. District Court in Washington and, through a translator, pleaded not guilty to a terrorism charge in the attack that killed Christopher Stevens, the U.S. ambassador to Libya, and three other Americans.
Rogers, a Republican and chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, said on CNN’s “State of the Union” program that Khatallah was being held in the Washington, D.C., area after his arraignment.
Khatallah was captured on June 15 by U.S. special operations forces and had been under interrogation since then on a Navy warship that brought him to the United States.
Despite that, Obama decided to inappropriately run a militia man who carried out an attack on US facilities using an armed group through the civilian justice system, just as he sought to do with Osama bin Laden.
The killer is represented by Shelli Peterson, a Federal Public Defender, at taxpayer expense. It’s unclear if this is the same woman who served as Bill Clinton’s White House Counsel during the Lewinsky case.
That’s what provides a rather strange footnote to this case.
The full name of both women is Michelle M. Peterson. Both go by “Shelli”. It could be a coincidence, but it’s quite a coincidence.
As Assistant White House Counsel, Peterson handled the Lewinsky case and was accused of lying to aid the Clintons.
It’s certainly interesting if it’s the same woman, but as Hillary likes to say, “What difference does it make anyway?”
