Fmr Prosecutor: Obama’s Desire To Close Gitmo Has Made Every American Around The World A Target

Former prosecutor Joe diGenova says in this new 30 minute video interview with The Daily Caller that with the Bowe Bergdahl trade for five Taliban prisoners in Guantanamo Bay, President Obama has put a target on the back of every American.
He declares “the president, in order to score a political point… has now made it worth it to kidnap Americans anywhere in the world and then demand that they be traded for someone in Gitmo. Can you believe it?”
On the efforts being made to discredit Bergdahl’s fellow soldiers who are labeling him as a deserter or worse, diGenova says the attempt “to attack them was insanity.” This incident, he says,“has hit the raw nerve with (Obama’s) relationship with the military. It’s like a scab that has finally come off.”
“What it shows is how corrupt, politically, it is, that it doesn’t care about Bergdahl as a soldier. It cares about him as a political weapon,” diGenova continues.
Calling Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid “a hack” and that he has “forfeited the right to be majority leader,” diGenova goes on to say “the Democrats now have completely abdicated any responsibility for coherent political discourse. They are only interested in trashing people.”
Showing bipartisan disdain, he criticizes House Republican committee chairmen for being “incompetent” in their oversight efforts to get to the truth about the terrorist attack in Benghazi in 2012 that killed four Americans. He grades the four chairmen with Ds.
On finding out why help was not sent to rescue these Americans in distress on the anniversary of 9/11, diGenova has special animus for retiring Rep. Buck McKeon (R-CA), the Chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, who “bought into the nit wit notion that there was no stand down order.”
diGenova says, “there was no ‘stand down’ order. There was a stand still order, a do nothing order! The military was not allowed to do their job.”
Predicting that as more truth comes out on Benghazi, as more military and diplomatic officials retire and feel unburdened by government threats, diGenova believes it will get worse for the Administration.“Almost everything said in the first 48 hours was false and they knew it,” he said.
diGenova explains that the most obvious victims of the Benghazi attack were the four people who died, unnecessarily, because of the “incompetent and venal administration of the Department of State by President Obama and Hillary Clinton and Patrick Kennedy, the undersecretary of State for administration, who has become the worst government administrator.” He “should pay a price,” according to diGenova.
Mr. diGenova has served Congress in a variety of investigative capacities, including investigating the Teamsters, as well as being a U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia. His wife is Victoria Toensing and together they practice law in Washington, DC, where they represent a number of clients — including Benghazi whistleblowers.
