Two in three Americans disapprove of President Barack Obama’s handling of immigration, according to a new Gallup poll.

At 65 percent, the disapproval rate is the highest that Gallup has reported since the group began polling on the subject and is up 10 points since August 2013.

Thirty-one percent of those polled approved of his handling of immigration, the lowest readings since 2010, when only 29 percent approved.

The president’s handling of immigration also seems to be a partisan issue, as 60 percent of Democrats agreed with Obama’s handling while only 25 percent of independents and 8 percent of Republicans agree with the steps he has taken.

The poll was conducted from June 5 to 8 among 1,027 adults with a margin of error of plus or minus four percentage points.

Correction: An earlier version of this story misstated the political party breakdown of approval of Obama’s handling on immigration.

"Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, religion and morality are indispensable supports. In vain would that man claim tribute to patriotism who should labor to subvert these great pillars of human happiness -- these firmest props of the duties of men and citizens. . . . reason and experience both forbid us to expect that national morality can prevail in exclusion of religious principles."
George Washington

"Only a virtuous people are capable of freedom. As nations become more corrupt and vicious, they have more need of masters."
Benjamin Franklin

Could it be those thousands of kids, some with communicable diseases, some starving, all in danger, sitting at our border BECAUSE of HIM that have soured people on his immigration "policy?"
Character still matters.  It always matters.

May 3, 2016 - the day the Republican party left ME.  I am now without a Party, and quite possibly without a country.  May God have mercy!

Americans are starting to tire of Obama, but they always tire of their celebrities.
Americans will line up to vote for Hillary.

I think he's winning on "immigration"....at least his version of the word.  Look at the onslaught on the borders for proof of that.

Textbook example of Cloward-Pliven in action.  Overwhelm the system to bring it down and force "change".  Afterall, only a monster would think cheeldren should be housed in such horrid conditions..........
