Al-Qaida Captures Stockpile of Saddam's WMDs -- Say What?

So it seems the ISIS army -- which is really just al-Qaida with U.S. humvees, U.S. weapons, U.S. ammo, U.S. radios, U.S. cellphones, U.S. rations, etc. -- took all of a few days to locate a respectable cache of Saddam Hussein's weapons of mass destruction, mostly chemical weapons, according to the Wall Street Journal, the Guardian and other media outlets.
Yes, those weapons, the ones many of the mainstream media and liberals to this day insist never existed.
They did exist, of course, documented by a decade of U.N. weapon inspectors.
Most of them were known to have been shipped off by Iraq in the weeks leading up to our invasion. Many of them were reported surfacing in different countries in obscure United Nations reports, and many more are concealed in the volumes of U.S. military reports that are open to the public. Probably many more are contained in classified files.
Why exactly the Bush Administration never bothered to counter the "there were no WMDs" story is an open question whose answer probably has some sort of security justification.
It's a safe assumption that the Obama Administration knows where any remaining stockpiles are in Iraq, which means that Obama not only pulled our troops out before Iraq was ready to stand on its own feet, but that he did so without securing an apparently large cache of chemical weapons.
And isn't it interesting that ISIS knew exactly where to find it? ...
What ISIS, or ISIL, actually took control of is the remains of what was once one of Saddam's premiere chemical weapon facilities, with product still on the premises.
U.S. officials and the media are assuring us that the poison gas that remains is old, contaminated, difficult to move, unusable.
I have a hunch, though, that ISIS has more than a couple of experts who can figure out a way to transport and use some of what's buried at that factory.
If nothing else, the announcement jolted the White House out of its sleep for a few minutes.
"We remain concerned about the seizure of any military site by the ISIL," said Jen Psaki, a State Department spokeswoman. "We do not believe that the complex contains CW materials of military value and it would be very difficult, if not impossible, to safely move the materials."
"Difficult to move" because they don't exist, right?
I guess we will find out if ISIS believes the WMDs exist when they try to use some on Baghdad, after all the U.S. personnel have fled.
It's not like President Obama's going to stop them.
