Let’s play “Logic Hunter,” shall we? We must be very, very stealthy, maximize our level of awareness and finely tune our predator radar for maximum blipping, for the spoor of the elusive beast is oftentimes indiscernible if not downright invisible. But let’s try anyway.
Our “ally” to the south, Mexico, has been holding United States hero Devil Dog Warrior Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi of the mighty U.S. Marine Corp since April 1 for his alleged crime of “gun trafficking.”
Sgt. Tahmooressi had three legally owned guns with him when he made a wrong turn and mistakenly entered Mexico. The guns he had with him are all perfectly legal in the United States. There is no evidence Sgt. Tahmooressi had any intent to sell the guns to murdering Mexican dope thugs.
Should the Mexican government be truly interested in going after gun traffickers, I recommend they issue an arrest warrant for United States Attorney General Eric Holder. Truckloads of indisputable evidence point his way.
They know it, I know it, we all know that it was Attorney General Holder and his DOJ Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) that hatched the gun trafficking scheme known as Fast and Furious.
The ATF, clearly in response to orders from the top, not only allowed but specifically orchestrated the running of roughly 2,000 guns to illegally cross into Mexico without notifying the Mexican government. If this isn’t a gun trafficking violation, then what is?
The weapons the ATF allowed to pass into Mexico include the very weapons the Obama administration wants to ban in the United States, including so-called “assault weapons.”
The blatant anti-logic behind Fast and Furious was that somehow the ATF and other federal agencies were going to track the guns when they ended up in the hands of Mexican drug cartels. The problem: There were no electronic chips or any tracking devices on the guns to track them.
Holder was found in contempt of Congress for his shady role in Fast and Furious. To protect the attorney general, President Obama invoked executive privilege to shield Holder from providing requested information to Congress. Cover-up, anyone?
The very Mexican government that is holding Sgt. Tahmooressi has estimated that Fast and Furious guns have been involved in the killing of as many as 300 Mexicans. My fellow Michiganiac U.S. Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry was also killed by a punk armed with one of Eric Holder’s Fast and Furious weapons.
It is important to remember that Mr. Holder’s ATF did not notify the Mexican government of the ATF’s gunrunning operation. Knowing that, it stands to reason the Mexican government should issue an arrest warrant for Attorney General Holder and the ATF agents who hatched the gun trafficking scheme.
Instead of going after Holder and his ATF gang of gunrunners, the Mexican government is holding Sgt Tahmooressi, a hero warrior of the USMC.
Neither President Obama nor Secretary of State Kerry have said anything publicly to the Mexican government asking for Tahmooressi’s release.
At least publicly, there is no prisoner swap in the works even though thousands and thousands of Mexicans are held in U.S. prisons and jails on various criminal charges.
How come the Obama administration has not floated the idea of trading a couple of Mexicans in our prisons for Sgt. Tahmooressi? What harm would there be in that, considering the Obama administration recently swapped five violent voodoo monsters for one U.S. soldier?
There is no logic being used by either the Mexican government or the Obama administration. No surprise there. The Mexican government is one of the world’s most corrupt governments, and the Obama administration is mired in scandal after scandal, including Fast and Furious.
Meanwhile, Tahmooressi sits in a nasty, corrupt, dangerous Mexican jail. Until he is unconditionally released, I urge Americans to not go to Mexico. We can do what the Obama administration refuses to do; we can put pressure on the corrupt Mexican government by not spending our critical U.S. dollars in Mexico.
Fast and Furious was the real gun trafficking crime. That’s the truth. When it comes to our government these days, logic is a rare, endangered species.
