Even The ACLU Is Revolting At Holder’s Latest Move To Silence Political Speech
The Obama administration is shifting its focus to those within the U.S. who might disagree with its agenda.

As the Obama administration continues its mission to release terrorists currently being held at Guantanamo Bay, it is simultaneously shifting its focus to those within the U.S. who might disagree with its agenda.
According to recent reports, Attorney General Eric Holder announced he is bringing back the Domestic Terrorism Executive Committee that was established following the Oklahoma City bombing of 1995. Following the 9/11 terrorist attacks, the committee disbanded as America’s priority returned to outside threats.
According to Holder, those being targeted by the board – which will consist of officials from the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Department of Justice, and Attorney General’s Advisory Committee – will apparently consist of those deemed guilty of politically incorrect thought.
In addition to outside terrorist threats, he explained the administration “must also concern ourselves with the continued danger we face from individuals within our own borders who may be motivated by a variety of other causes from anti-government animus to racial prejudice.”
His assertion that the nation is overrun by racism has been a common theme of his professional career; however, many opponents see this move as a disturbing overreach.
“It appears there’s an attempt to marginalize people who hold views that are sharply different from those of the administration and much of the establishment,” argued Horace Cooper, who serves as cochairman of the black conservative group Project 21.
He went on to challenge Holder’s assertion that racism poses a similar threat to the nation as terrorism does.
“We’re particularly bothered by mixing together so-called domestic insurrectionists and racists,” he said. “There is simply no anti-black or anti-minority underground movement in America that is threatening in any way the stability of our government or the stability of local governments.”
He called any argument to the contrary “a complete and total bogeyman,” explaining he believes Holder knows his rhetoric is misleading.
Cooper called on Holder to produce documentation backing up his allegations; however, he said he realizes no such data exists.
“In our organization’s view,” he concluded, “this is done – particularly in the racial component – to create the false impression to minority communities that it is the Obama administration that is here to help them and another reason why, with all of the economic failings that they have provided to Americans generally and minorities in particular, they should continue to consider giving away their vote to that particular administration.”
It is not just conservative groups who oppose Holder’s plan. In its response to the announcement, the left-leaning American Civil Liberties Union said a resurgence of the committee “could be a sweeping mandate to monitor and collect controversial speech.”
