GCC invests billions in renewable energy

Gulf countries are investing billions of dollars in renewable energy resources.
 
Qatar has built the largest solar technology manufacturing facility in the region. The country, one of the world's top natural gas producers, plans to convert two percent of its power output to renewable sources by 2020.

Environmentalists say it is a step in the right direction but tangible progress is still many years away.
 
Al Jazeera's Osama Bin Javaid reports from Doha.
