Early Saturday it was announced by the administration that the only American prisoner of war in the Afghanistan was released in exchange for 5 Guantanamo Bay terrorists being set free to Qatar. The circumstances of the capture of Bowe Bergdahl had been in question long before his release – supposedly he had wandered off and captured by the Taliban. But a soldier on Twitter is claiming that the official story is untrue, and has posted his version of the events that led to Bowe’s capture.

Towards the end of his story, he says he fears reprisal from the Obama administration, and asks for legal help. It must be noted also that he has a avatar that bears a picture of Bowe with the word “traitor” posted over it.

The only thing I would encourage caution about is that this is the internet and it could be BS. I am pretty confident what we are hearing about the father is true, but I'll withhold judgment on the son/POW until we get something better than twitter posts.

But Bergdahl wasn’t captured in battle. He simply walked off his post into the hills. Grunt forums are livid with Bergdahl, ready for him to be tried for desertion. Yep, I self censored it right after writing. I'm seeing several sources saying the same thing plus learning more about his dad, it does seem like it was a planned desertion to the enemy. Plus the Taliban are releasing statements this morning almost laughing about it saying he was basically one of them and training them.
