"This predates my presidency. When I was in the Senate, I was on the Veterans Affairs Committee. I heard first-hand veterans who were not getting the kinds of services and benefits that they had earned," the President said to the White House Press Corps this afternoon.

Did anyone check to see whether he actually attended any committee meetings?

It's not the wait times, it's the hiding the waiting list in order to collect a bonus that is criminal.  That was on your watch, mr president.

The sonofabitch can't take responsibility for anything.

Always blaming Bush is no longer selling.  He is viewed as incompetent by most Americans.

It's all they have.

If true why didn't he try and do something about it?
You and I have a rendezvous with destiny. We will preserve for our children this, the last best hope of man on earth, or we will sentence them to take the first step into a thousand years of darkness. If we fail, at least let our children and our children's children say of us we justified our brief moment here. We did all that could be done.

Exactly.
