Let's put it this way, with almost all of the precincts reporting - Mitch McConnell received around 205,000 votes and Alison Lundergan Grimes (the Democrat nominee) received about 299,000 votes.  She got 76% of the Democrat vote and Mitch got 60% of the Republicans.

Ha...well he better unite those Repubs and get them all to the polls or there will be a Dem Senator from Ky this fall...

Some of you better had triple up with padded underwear....Sinkspur's gonna kick some a$$ when he gets here.    :silly:

Nah.   Things went pretty much the way I thought they would.

McConnell will defeat Grimes (she is a vapid, empty dress) because Kentucky is a red state.  Whichever Republican wins in Georgia will beat Nunn handily.

Democrats have to be scared to death tonight.  The Senate WILL turn red and Obama's presidency will be over.

Not voting for him is a defacto one vote against him. Voting for the Democrat is two votes against him. I'm not playing anymore. I want to crush him, as much as he wants to crush me.

What a silly, childish attitude!!!  You come across as immature as a high-school sophomore.

Voting for a Democrat IS NEVER A GOOD THING TO DO.

If that worked, don't you think we'd have done it by now? It doesn't. We're surrounded by masses programmed to send this country to ruin. THEY DO NOT LISTEN TO REASON.

This is not a political race. This is right and wrong, good and evil we are talking about here.

And in the ways of the world, evil usually wins.

Don't be ridiculous.  Mitch McConnell is evil?

Next time, nominate a guy who doesn't believe that it's just dandy to watch two roosters rip each other to shreds with razors.

The same kind of red state that elects two GOP Senators.  And will still have two GOP Senators after November.

Grimes is a dope.

Could you please provide a link to where Matt Bevin said he believes that?  I don't think you will be able to, because he never said anything like that - and that is typical of the kind of shitty lying campaign that Mitch ran.  Really, I'd like to see the link.

McConnell has never lost in Kentucky.  I'm confident that most of Bevin's supporters will vote for McConnell, now that they've been shocked out of their zombie state induced by Matt Hoskins and those money-suckers from SCF.

Why don't you provide a link to a quote in which Bevin's explains why the hell he was at a cockfight?  If you do, you'll see that he says it's a state's rights issue.

That's like saying it was OK for Michael Vick to have dog fights because, well, Georgia hadn't outlawed the practice.

Maybe the Kentucky voter just doesn't want to take chances with a rookie in the seat...given the hell hole the country is in.

Whatever the reason....we need 60 GOP Senators come January 1st.

You know sink - you're coming awful close to lying about this yourself.  I have to assume that since you provided the link - that you also read the article.  It was NOT a cockfight!  It was a RALLY of Gamefowl enthusiasts promoting state's rights in regards to the legality of cockfighting.  You keep saying he was at a "cockfight".  That is just not true!

And also - you said Bevins thought it was "just dandy to watch two roosters rip each other to shreds with razors".  I'll ask again - can you provide a link to that?  I bet that you cannot, because Bevin never expressed such an opinion.

THAT's the beginning and the end of it.

You're right. It wasn't an actual cockfight.

It was a bunch of cockfighters meeting to promote cockfighting.  And Bevins had no clue (so he says) that he was at a cockfighting rally.

"Gamefowl enthusiasts."  That's cute.

Cockfighters.  And Bevins stepped in it by being in their company.

Thanks for correcting your misstatement.  It was a rally of 700 VOTERS.  I'm sure if Bevin had it to do over, he might not have attended the rally - but I'm not going to say that he approves of cockfighting - I'll just say he approves of state's rights.  I wouldn't even be surprised to find out that his staff set up his appearance and he didn't realize until he got there what it was about.  I'm sure it could happen, especially when you are trying to reach as many people as you can.

Heck, even if he did know - I don't think that hurt him that much - it may have even have helped him in certain counties in the state.  I know several people that go to cockfights and some who raise fighting cocks - there's big money in it and people would be surprised to know who participates in it.  I don't like it, but the people that I know are what one would consider "respectable" and not your stereotypical toothless trailer park redneck.

Anyway, Bevin had a steep uphill climb to defeat a 30 year incumbent that holds a high position in the GOP.  I think he did pretty good, considering.  He got more than one out of three of the Republican vote in the state.  Like I said, I hope he tries again.

I doesn't matter. That is exactly what everyone knew would happen.

That is why I will support whichever Dem runs against him. "We will crush the Tea Party!" That kind of verbage tends to radicalize people. And there are more than just me.

Since nothing means anything anymore, why not vote Dem. As Clinton said, "What difference does it make!?"

Real Conservatives vote rat.

I'm pretty sure the GOP will take back the Senate in Nov...but if we don't, it's nice to know, I can still blame the Tea Party.  Thanx 240B

My point is that all the pundits on the right say....either it's willful, or it's incompetence.  And they all virtually say when pressed, it's the latter.  Or they cover themselves by saying it's the latte.

Can anybody please name ONE thing this Administration has done that was better for our freedoms, economy or way of life?

And I'm not speaking about bridging the gap between the Middle Class and the poor.   He's making more "poor" every month.

There are 11 MILLION on so called "disability"..in order to find that loophole so they can still obtain shelter, food and a cup of coffee after their unemployment subsidy ran out.

What kind of "red state" elects a Democrat governor twice in a row?

It happens.  Most of the "red states" have had Democrat governors from time to time.  Even here in South Carolina.  And of course look at the "blue states" that elect Republican governors, including New York, Massachusetts and California.  Maybe people don't hold their governors and mayors to the same political construct they do in national elections.
It's the Supreme Court nominations!
