Illegals march across classified military base
'I think the average American should be petrified'

An investigative report from an Arizona television station reveals illegal aliens routinely are marching across a classified military base in order to enter the U.S., and the military’s perspective is that it’s not the Department of Defense’s responsibility to chase down invaders.
The report comes from KVOA-TV in Tucson, which reported that the fort, which is the home to the U.S. Army Intelligence Center and the U.S. Army Network Enterprise Technology Command, is having hundreds, perhaps thousands, of illegal aliens come across its 73,000 acres.
The site is located in the Huachuca Mountains only a few miles from the border with Mexico, and its location and uses should be a concern to Americans, according to a former Border Patrol agent.
“I think the average American should be petrified,” Dave Stoddard, a former supervisor of the federal border agency, told the station.
“That smuggling operation going through there is very, very sophisticated. They’ve been getting by with it for years. They know the formula. They know the routine,” he said.
The military is unconcerned.
“Apprehending undocumented immigrants is a Department of Homeland Security mission and not a DOD one,” the base said in a statement released to the television station.
The station documented that hundreds of illegals have been captured on the base over recent years, with the trend surging alarmingly upward, from 96 in 2011 to 331 so far in 2013.
Stoddard raise the concern that some of those illegals could be terror threats, even carrying weapons into the United States.
He said the solution isn’t complicated: Just enforce the nation’s immigration laws.
“Therein is the problem,” he told the station.
U.S. Rep. Ron Barber, a Democrat, told the station he didn’t have a lot of concern, because although any “incursion” is a problem, the military sites are secured.
“No one’s going to get near any of those secured buildings,” he said.
According to a report in the Corruption Chronicles assembled by Washington corruption watchdog Judicial Watch, the report is “downright disturbing.”
The organization explained that Stoddard previously has testified before Congress about illegal immigration.
“It was just a few years ago that illegal immigrants easily gained access to Fort Dix in New Jersey to plan a deadly attack,” Judicial Watch said. “Incredibly, the illegal aliens frequently entered the base with little scrutiny. It didn’t lead to increased security at military bases around the country, however. A few months later a dozen illegal aliens got arrested for working inside a Texas military installation, Ft. Bliss and Biggs Army Airfield.”
WND documented only a short two years ago on a report from the U.S. Border Patrol that hundreds of illegal aliens from terror-linked nations such as Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Pakistan, Iran and Syria have been nabbed sneaking into the U.S.
At the time, Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton explained, “We should not be surprised if terrorists take advantage of our porous borders in light of the Obama administration’s lax approach to border security. When you have an administration that pushes illegal alien amnesty, permits illegal alien sanctuary policies, and attacks states like Arizona for seeking to enforce the rule of law, it sends a signal to our enemies to cross the border illegally and to do their worst.”
The federal government said illegal aliens were caught that year coming into the U.S. from Cuba, Iran, Syria, Sudan, Somalia, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Yemen.
In that year, U.S. Border Patrol agents apprehended 663 “Aliens from Special Interest Countries,” a federal report said. These countries are deemed “special interest” because of their suspected ties to terrorism.
