The Next Scandal: Administration's Terror 'Hands-Off' List

Part of the reason people put up with being ogled and groped at the nation's airports, or with spy drones flying overhead while they work in the garden, is the implicit understanding that the Department of Homeland Security is actually working to keep us safe and keep terrorists out of the country.
So what would you say about an Administration that has a secret "hands off" list of terrorist-connected individuals who are allowed to come and go at will without interference from the TSA, Border Patrol or any other branch of law enforcement that might want to ask a few questions?
In the case of this Administration, you'd probably say it's business as usual.
Iowa Sen. Chuck Grassley, apparently frustrated with the non-answers he's been getting, has revealed a series of emails between U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) discussing just such an individual who in 2012 had scheduled an upcoming flight to the U.S.
The person in question, according to Judicial Watch, was a member of the Muslim Brotherhood and associated with Hamas, Hezbollah and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad. The emails reveal that the individual had been hauled into secondary inspection quote-unquote "several dozen times," but oddly not once since 2010. So presumably, this fellow had been on the Bush Administration's radar.
The emails go on to say that the individual has sued because he had been stopped by officials. Then comes the million-dollar prize winner: "(The individual) has sued CBP twice in the past and that he’s one of the several hands off passengers nationwide."
The emails further say that the terrorist's records were removed, and that DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano was involved.
Understandably, when Grassley read this, he had some questions.
Grassley revealed a letter he sent to DHS Secretary Jeh Johnson in February saying, "I’m puzzled how someone could be a member of the Muslim Brotherhood and unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation trial, be an associate of [redacted], say that the US is staging car bombings in Iraq and that [it] is ok for men to beat their wives, question who was behind the 9/11 attacks, and be afforded the luxury of a visitor visa and de-watchlisted. It doesn’t appear that we’ll be successful with denying him entry tomorrow but maybe we could re-evaluate the matter in the future since the decision to de-watchlist him was made 17 months ago."
The DHS response in April denied that there was any "hands off" list and basically passed the buck to the Department of Justice, which is in charge of maintaining the Terror Watchlist.
If there is no such list, isn't it an interesting thing that ICE, Customs and the world's Muslim terrorists think there is one?
What was that motto from "X-Files"? Deceive, Inveigle, Obfuscate.
That seems to be this Administration's stock-in-trade.
