DOVER, Del. - May 8, 2014 (WPVI) -- Dover Air Force Base has been placed on lockdown due to a suspicious person reported on the premises.Action News is told the lockdown went into effect at 11:00 a.m. Thursday as a precautionary measure, and all personnel were told to shelter in place."The safety of our people is our top priority," said Col. Randy Huiss, 436th Airlift Wing vice wing commander, in a statement. "We take this report very seriously and are taking the necessary precautions to investigate this matter."
