FORT WORTH, Texas (April 30, 2014) A Texas family said farewell to their beloved dog in October, only to discover months later that the veterinarian hadnt euthanized him.

Instead, the family said, the vet kept the dog around for blood transfusions.

Sid, a 4-year-old Leonberger, was supposed to be put down last October because of health problems. But just last week, Marian HarrisSids ownerreceived a call from a former employee who said Sid was alive in a cage at the Camp Bowie Animal Clinic.

Harris and her husband rushed to the clinic, where they said Sid was living in a cage in the back room. She said Sid walked out and jumped into the familys minivan. A vet at a different clinic said he didnt need to be euthanized.

If this is true ,the owners should be allowed 15 minutes alone with the vet .And give them a baseball bat :chairbang:
