Editor of The Washington Free Beacon explained how Sen. Harry Reid (D., Nev.) has used his position as a senior leader in the Senate to enrich himself and his family Sunday on Fox News.

Continetti said Reid has four sons and one son-in-law who are all lawyers and represent clients that do business with the state of Nevada and the federal government. The Senate Majority leader has been accused of using his position of influence to benefit his sons and their clients.

More recently, Continetti added Reid reportedly purchased over $30,000 of “gifts” from his granddaughter. The “gifts” for donors were acquired with campaign funds.

“Harry Reid, not only should he write a book about investment strategy, but write a book about grand parenting because I would love to have him as a grandfather. He’s very generous,” he said.

However, the Free Beacon editor noted Reid and his campaign maintain the senator has never actually strayed into the realm of illegality.

Continetti concluded by taking a shot at Reid for his hypocritical attacks on the Koch brothers. “It’s funny, he attacks Charles and David Koch for using money to influence politics. Whereas, he’s taking money from another billionaire, the liberal Tom Steyer who’s much more effective it seems to me than the Kochs of getting his agenda across because of course he opposes the [...] Keystone Pipeline.
