George Clooney had an epic blowup over President Obama with Steve Wynn in Las Vegas that ended with the actor calling Wynn “an a - - hole” and storming off as the casino mogul’s security guards got ready to pounce on him.

Clooney came to verbal blows with the famously tough Wynn while dining at his Encore hotel with Rande Gerber.

A source told Page Six, “George and Rande were in Vegas for a party for their Casamigos tequila and had an early dinner with Wynn and other associates.

“Things turned nasty as Wynn was provoking George, talking about politics. At first George just wasn’t responding. He just sat there politely listening,” our source said. But “Steve kept pushing and pushing, then started raising his voice. George still didn’t respond, he really didn’t want to get into it.”

But finally, Wynn figured out how to push the “Gravity” star’s buttons. “Discussing Obamacare, Steve called Obama ‘an a - - hole,’ ” said our source. “George responded, ‘President Obama is my friend, don’t talk about him like that.’ ” Wynn then shot back, ‘Your friend is an a - - hole!’

“George glared at Steve and said, ‘No! You are an a - - hole, and I’m not going to sit here any more and listen to this!’ ”

The sources said while Clooney stuck up for the president, he pointed his finger at Steve, and “Wynn’s three goon-like bodyguards immediately loomed up behind Rande and George.” But “before Wynn’s bodyguards could touch them, George and Rande got up and walked out.”

Reps for Clooney and Wynn didn’t comment. But Wynn had claimed Clooney was downing tequila shots and told the Las Vegas Review Journal of the dust-up with the star two weeks ago, “When he’s drinking, he considers himself a close personal buddy of the president.”

Wynn added Clooney “threw a hissy fit” after a guest made a joke about Mikhail Gorbachev. And, “Clooney’s fun to be with when he’s sober. If you have a chance to drink with him, you want to get there early, and don’t stay late.”

Friends, huh.

If you haven't heard, George Clooney is a huge supporter of President Barack Obama.

Hotel-casino developer Steve Wynn may not have been aware just how much Clooney backs the Prez, but he quickly found out after calling Obama an "a--hole," reports the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

"He called the President an a--hole … that is a fact," the 52-year-old actor said in a statement about the heated words they exchanged during a recent dinner at Botero restaurant inside Wynn's Encore hotel in Las Vegas.

"I said the President was my longtime friend and then he said, 'Your friend is an a--hole,'" he continued. "At that point I told Steve that HE was an a--hole and I wasn't going to sit at his table while he was being such a jacka--. And I walked out."

Wynn's side of the story paints quite a different picture. One in which Clooney reportedly "got drunk" from several tequila shots.

"The place was empty," Wynn told the Las Vegas Review-Journal. "He stood up and threw a hissy fit."

The hotel business magnate referred to Clooney's initial outburst at another dinner guest who made a joke about former Soviet Union President Mikhail Gorbachev.

"Then he sat down and started talking about the Affordable Care Act and that's when I spoke up," Wynn continued. "He didn't like that either. I think my discussion about the Affordable Care Act was the straw that broke the camel's back. When he's drinking, he considers himself a close personal buddy of the President."

After which, Clooney supposedly stood up and said, "I don't have to listen to this (expletive) stuff," Wynn said.

"There were nine people at that table," Clooney's statement read, dismissing Wynn's account. "So you can ask them. Steve likes to go on rants."

The "Monuments Men" star and Wynn were joined by Clooney's Casamigos tequila business partners as well as Wynn's wife, Andrea Hissom, and three others.

"There were obviously quite a few more adjectives and adverbs used by both of us," Clooney added. "Those are all the facts. It had nothing to do with politics and everything to do with character."

Obama tells Entertainment Tonight in an interview airing Monday that he got to know Clooney through his work on Sudan when Obama was in the U.S. Senate.

The two were first spotted in London together in October, and then got cozy at a special White House screening of his latest film, "The Monuments Men" back in February.

Now pictures have surfaced of the two on safari together in Tanzania, People reports.

According to her work profile, Alamuddin, 36, is a lawyer, specializing in international law. She is a graduate of the New York University School of Law and in 2011, she started representing WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange in his fight against extradition.

2 - She's Worldly

This exotic beauty is Oxford-educated (St. Hugh's College) and fluent in French and Arabic, her profile states.

3 - She's an Author Too

Alamuddin "is the co-editor (with David Tolbert and Nidal Jurdi) of a book entitled The Law and Practice of the Special Tribunal for Lebanon, to be published in 2013 by Oxford University Press. She is also the author of several book chapters and articles on international criminal law published by Oxford University Press," her profile states.

4 - She's a Chart Topper

Just last year, Alamuddin topped the "21 HOTTEST BARRISTERS IN LONDON" list for women, created by Your Barrister Boyfriend.

A barrister officially is a member of one of the two classes of lawyer and they specialize in courtroom advocacy, drafting legal pleadings, and giving expert legal opinions.

5 - Doesn't Seem Like She's Into Showbiz

Aside from dating George, Alamuddin reportedly isn't an actress or model like many of the women Clooney has dated in the past. His recent ex Stacy Keibler was a professional wrestler, actress and model.

He was also married to "Touched by an Angel" star Talia Balsam from 1989 to 1993.

Eternal bachelor George Clooney could finally be settling down — the actor is engaged to beautiful lawyer Amal Alamuddin, sources tell Page Six.

Clooney has proposed to humanitarian lawyer Alamuddin after dating the British beauty for less than a year, we are told.

Alamuddin, 36, was spotted showing off an engagement ring as she and Clooney, 52, dined at Nobu in Malibu on Thursday night with Cindy Crawford and husband Rande Gerber.

A source told Page Six, “George and Amal hoped keep the engagement quiet, but they can’t hide the fact that they are very happy.”

When contacted on Friday night by Page Six, Clooney’s rep Stan Rosenfield didn’t confirm or deny the engagement, simply telling us, “I do not comment on his personal life.”

While actor and Syria activist Clooney has in the past dated models, waitresses and most recently wrestler Stacy Keibler, he appears to have met his match in accomplished Alamuddin.

She studied at Oxford and the New York University School of Law, speaks three languages — French, Arabic and English — and has represented Wikileaks founder Julian Assange in his extradition proceedings with Sweden and is now an adviser to former UN Secretary General Kofi Annan, the special envoy to Syria.

After they were spotted leaving a dinner together in London in November 2013, Clooney initially denied he was dating Alamuddin, saying they were working together on a satellite program for Syria. But in February he took her to a screening of his movie “Monuments Men” at the White House, along with his parents, Nick and Nina Clooney.

Then in March, Clooney and Alamuddin were pictured looking romantic together on a luxury safari vacation watching wildlife in Tanzania, before heading to the Seychelles.

Clooney, who was married to actress Talia Balsam from 1989 to 1993, told Esquire in December that he wasn’t suited to marriage. He said, “I haven’t had aspirations in that way, ever. I was married in 1989. I wasn’t very good at it. . . . I was quoted as saying I’ll never get married again pretty much right after I got divorced and then I’ve never talked about it since.”

He added that while some people think it is strange he does not have children, but he is not in a rush to start a family. He said: “Should I go, ‘I got to get me some kids right now!’ and rush out and impregnate someone? Look, what I do know is that I was raised in a loving, happy family. I don’t have any dislike or distrust of that.”

It took Clooney over a week to respond. Guess he's been busy getting "engaged" and all.

George Clooney is not backing down from his war of words — over words — with Las Vegas casino mogul Steve Wynn, who called him a “money-coddled” actor “living in a bubble” on Friday.

“He said I live in a bubble. More of a bubble than Las Vegas? Honestly? He says I'm ‘money coddled,’ that I'm surrounded by people who coddle me. I would suggest that Mr. Wynn look to his left and right and find anyone in his sphere that says anything but ‘yes’ to him,” Clooney said in a statement hours after Wynn made his own. “Emphatically. I did not attend a private boys’ school, I worked in tobacco fields and in stock rooms, and construction sites. I've been broke more of my life than I have been successful, and I understand the meaning of being an employee and how difficult it is to make ends meet.”

The beef between the Hollywood star and the billionaire businessman stems from an argument over Clooney's “longtime friend” President Barack Obama that erupted during a dinner in Vegas last month.

Clooney maintains Wynn called Obama “an bleep,” which caused him to hurl the insult back and walk out of the room.

Wynn told Stephanie Ruhle on Bloomberg's “Market Makers” that he did not direct the profanity toward the President, and said Clooney did not direct it back at him, either.

Here's Clooney's full, and surprisingly long, response:

    “Steve Wynn and I have met three times, two times for dinner. That is the extent of our knowledge of one another, so I will refrain from trying to categorize him based on the little time we've spent together, but I will not let his version of the truth go unchallenged.

    He now says he didn't call the president an ‘bleep.’ That is false. He bellowed ‘I voted for the bleep,’ and then called him the same thing several more times as the dinner came to an abrupt end.

    Again there were eight people at the table, eight witnesses. I did in turn, call him the same body part, and walked out. Again he can make up whatever story he wants, but these are the facts. He said I drank 16 shots of tequila. I didn't drink one shot of tequila, not one. We were drinking but it was early and we still had two events to attend.
