US special forces committing suicide in record numbers

"Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, religion and morality are indispensable supports. In vain would that man claim tribute to patriotism who should labor to subvert these great pillars of human happiness -- these firmest props of the duties of men and citizens. . . . reason and experience both forbid us to expect that national morality can prevail in exclusion of religious principles."
George Washington

"Only a virtuous people are capable of freedom. As nations become more corrupt and vicious, they have more need of masters."
Benjamin Franklin

Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld kicked off the response to 9/11/2001 and at the time, Americans were glad we looked committed to teaching our enemy a lesson.

Now 13+ years later, it should be obvious that no lesson has been taught. Instead our troops are justifiably worn down to the bone, and our enemy is emboldened by our demonstrated timidity.

The American public for the most does NOT get to consider reasonable options, like:

1. Drop nukes or other huge bombs and kill millions of muslims. This saves our troops lives.

2. Keep sending our troops on multiple deployments, until they lose limbs, minds, or both.

3. Walk away with the enemy in control of the territory.

We have opted for 2. and 3.

We defeated Germany, Italy and Japan in less than 4 years, by pursuing unconditional surrender. No problems from any of them since.
"God must love the common man, he made so many of them.  Abe Lincoln
