"Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, religion and morality are indispensable supports. In vain would that man claim tribute to patriotism who should labor to subvert these great pillars of human happiness -- these firmest props of the duties of men and citizens. . . . reason and experience both forbid us to expect that national morality can prevail in exclusion of religious principles."
George Washington

"Only a virtuous people are capable of freedom. As nations become more corrupt and vicious, they have more need of masters."

"The law should encourage intelligent discussion of possible remedies for what every American can recognize as an ongoing national tragedy," Stevens concluded.

Good plan, Mr. Stevens.  In nanoseconds the left would ban firearms, and in another nanosecond the current "national tragedy" will become orders of magnitude worse when the genocide ensues.  One need look only at German and Russian history in the last century to see precisely what will happen to us if our natural, individual right to self-defense is infringed by government.

Odd!  That isn't what the Federalist Papers have to say about it.  It also isn't what quotes from the framers of the Constitution had to say about it.  But they weren't as knowledgeable as today's leftists about the Constitution they wrote. :3:

Another reason to be grateful for our shared mortality.  But for that, he might still be a sitting Justice.

Ah, grasshopper!

The lives you should be most concerned for are those of Thomas, Alito, Scalia and Roberts.

How can anyone have an intelligent conversation with gunphobic fools that don't believe free people have the right to defend themselves?
