Socialist Muslim Politician: “Women who are Raped should be Hanged”

While the liberal media spends all its time denouncing the BJP in India to “protect” the Muslims from the Hindus, a Muslim leader in the Socialist Samajwadi Party (its name means Socialist) has a different election strategy. (via Religion of Peace)
Hanging women.
Samajwadi Party leader Abu Azmi made a more controversial statement than his boss Mulayam Singh Yadav by saying woman who has sex outside marriage should be hanged, including rape victims.
Azmi said, “Rape is punishable by hanging in Islam. But here, nothing happens to women, only to men. Even the woman is guilty.”
Azmi said that the final solution to rape is that if any girl, whether married or unmarried, goes with a guy with or without her consent, they should be hanged.
Mulayam Singh Yadav defended rapists saying sometimes boys make mistakes.
In a bid to woo the Muslim voters, Mulayam said: “It is not that I am with the Third Front for some post in the government. In fact, I am with them for the Muslims. If the Third Front comes to power, I would expect from them to solve the problems of the Muslims within a year.”
“Boys and girls…later they had differences, and the girl went and gave a statement that they have raped her. And then the poor fellow, three of them have been sentenced to death. Should the punishment for a rape be hanging?
Scantily-clad women attract male attention, Azmi said adding rape cases are on the rise due to “women wearing less clothes.”
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) flayed Mulayam for his “insensitive and shameful” statement.
BJP leader Subramanian Swamy said Mulayam singh Yadav is playing “minority politics” in the backdrop of recent Muzaffarnagar riots in which many women were allegedly raped.
Now this is a real Socialist War on Women.
The reference to the Muzaffarnagar riots involves the repeated Muslim rapes of Indian women. So the Socialist Party will solve the problems of Muslims by applying Islamic law to rape.
This isn’t the first time Azmi has made such comments. Following the outrage after the Delhi gang-rape, he was quoted saying, “Women should not venture out with men who are not relatives. What is the need for roaming at night with men who are not relatives? This should be stopped.”
Azmi has quite a history and a record in line with his Socialist and Muslim beliefs.
He was a successful businessman and was also arrested for the 6 March 1993 bomb blasts, which killed more than 250 people in Mumbai.
*The Mumbai Police had alleged that he was involved with the perpetrators of the bomb blast by helping them flee the country through his travel agency.
*However after spending a year in jail, he got acquitted of all the charges. Then Azmi entered politics and joined Samajwadi Party.
*He is officially the richest elected representative of Maharashtra with cash and assets worth Rs 126 crore (Rs 1.26 billion) but constituency, Mankhurd-Shivaji Nagar, consists of poorest of the poor in Mumbai.
