"Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, religion and morality are indispensable supports. In vain would that man claim tribute to patriotism who should labor to subvert these great pillars of human happiness -- these firmest props of the duties of men and citizens. . . . reason and experience both forbid us to expect that national morality can prevail in exclusion of religious principles."
George Washington

"Only a virtuous people are capable of freedom. As nations become more corrupt and vicious, they have more need of masters."
Benjamin Franklin

Years ago I had a big fat slob of a long-haired black cat.  His hair was pretty, so we called him "Big Al" after Sharpton.

This guy has been one of the biggest windbag race hustlers this country ever produced.  He and many like him are why the Black community is in the shape it is and it is amazing that so many people pay any attention to him at all.

I have never been able to figure this one out....

Your cat was actually useful once in a while.

Live by the smear, die by the smear!
Why?  Well, because I'm a bastard, that's why.

No, he was quite useless.  The only thing I could rely on him for was to kick anything off the headboard on my bed onto my face a 2 AM.  I used to give him individual flying lessons shortly afterward.......

See? Not only was he a valuable alarm clock, but he perfected your aim.
