"Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, religion and morality are indispensable supports. In vain would that man claim tribute to patriotism who should labor to subvert these great pillars of human happiness -- these firmest props of the duties of men and citizens. . . . reason and experience both forbid us to expect that national morality can prevail in exclusion of religious principles."
George Washington

"Only a virtuous people are capable of freedom. As nations become more corrupt and vicious, they have more need of masters."
Benjamin Franklin

I already posted about this in another thread regarding the fed's attempt to "regulate methane emissions" a few days' back.

Since there's no way to reduce the methane from an individual bovine, the only possible solution to obtain "reduced emissions" will be to reduce the number of cows.

I'm guessing that farmers who have herds over a certain number of cattle, will be forced to pay a heavy penalty per head.

Prediction: if it goes to the Supreme Court, will John Roberts declare such a penalty to be "a tax" ???  ;)
