A spontaneous display of patriotism by a group of U.S. military children in Spain has filled with webosphere with a dose of good old-fashioned American pride.

In recognition of April being the 'Month of the Military Child', 40 children at Naval Station Rota in Spain (NAVSTA) - which contains 860 family housing units - were taken to a matinee at the local theater, according to caretaker Hannah Kunze.

The self-described manager of an after school program on the base, Kunze posted a video of the children’s visit on her YouTube account.

She wrote that movie goers are asked to stand before each showing while the national anthem is played, and as seen in the video, the children, ranging from 5 to 12 years old, naturally begin singing along with the instrumental rendition of The Star-Spangled Banner.

'It gives you chills to see patriotism like this displayed in youth at such a young age,' Kunze said, according to BizPac Review.

'Our kids know what it is to have daily sacrifices for our country. They know no other life then the one they have, but they are happy children living happy lives.'

On YouTube, the comments section was overflowing with positivity.

One user wrote: 'This is exactly why I am willing to lay down my life, so our future posterity does not have to stare into the face of Tyranny.'

The video seems to be touching the hearts of many.

Independent Journal Review said the clip 'will overwhelm you' and that it is 'stirring stuff that gives you hope for the future of America'.

The Naval Station Rota in Spain (NAVSTA) is the largest US in Spain, housing some 860 family units near the town of El Puerto de Santa María

Can't say I would have done this but being an Air Force brat and living all over the world you tend to be a little more patriotic I think.
