Conservative Republicans are about to have another Two-By-Four smashed in their face by none other than the House leadership team. Speaker John Boehner and his two principal lieutenants, Eric Cantor and Kevin McCarthy, accompanied by twenty-five other squishy Republican “moderates” will be meeting with members of the Main Street Alliance this weekend at the plush Ritz-Carlton in beautiful Amelia Island, Florida to further the cause of defeating Conservative candidates in this year’s Congressional primaries. Boehner and Company can’t stand the idea of openness and honesty, traits that have become lost by them from too much time inside the Beltway, so they will be formulating plans to defeat Conservatism.

You should recall that Boehner could have never been elected Speaker had the Tea Party and other Conservative organizations not elected a new Republican majority to the House, yet Boehner has done almost everything in his power to thwart the goals and objectives they hold dearly.  And now, by conspiring with the enemy, led by former Congressman Steve LaTourette of Ohio, a Boehner friend but also a friend of organized labor, Boehner once again will be trying to stack the deck against We, the People.  Boehner has no business continuing as the leader of the House Republicans and should be removed by the Republican caucus without delay.

Reading from the goals and objectives of the Main Street Project, which is the parent organization of the Alliance, the goal of the group is to build a working alliance with the governing wing of the Republican Party and centrist policymakers.   It further goes on to say that the main thrust of the Project is to provide thoughtful leadership.  Be aware, folks, that the governing wing of the Republican Party and centrist policymakers, as represented by the House membership who will be in attendance is what got us into the problems we face today in the first place.

The House leadership is in sync with the Senate RINOs in that they see themselves as superior to the American citizens who pay for their malarkey.  Many of them don’t even go home and hold town hall meetings and forums; they limit their time at home to big donors.  They really don’t want to lower themselves to meet and greet their citizens, much preferring the cocktail parties and junkets provided by their Washington contacts.

But there could be some unexpected good news as some are talking about the possibility of John Boehner opting to retire at the end of this Congressional session.  After all, he has recently bought an expensive oceanfront condo in sunny Southwest Florida and there is talk of him cobbling together a minority of House Republicans with the Democrats in violation of the Hastert rule to pass the Senate immigration reform (aka Amnesty) before the session ends.  That could be his final “poke in the eye” of conservatism and is well within possibility for this unprincipled man.

Remember, Conservatives, surrender is what he did with the debt ceiling after making commitment after commitment to vote against it.  Also, consider the number of key committee chairmen that are leaving office this year.  Some of his key supporters like Mike Rogers, Doc Hastings and Dave Camp have all announced that they will not seek reelection and these actions certainly aren’t just a coincidence.

Boehner himself has said that he will run again and he does have his campaign team in order.  But he must also face a primary opponent, a young teacher named J.D. Winteregg who is energetic and is working hard to fight the odds against him while educating the district about Boehner’s real agenda.  Only time will tell if the seat could become competitive but like in so many other districts the winds of change are beginning to blow as citizens start to show their disgust with the goings on of their elected representatives in Washington.

Will the Republican Party ultimately decide to stubbornly hold on to its current power structure and continue on a more liberal tack, ultimately disappearing in the dust?  Or will a new and truly Conservative majority emerge from the old or in a new organizational structure despite the strains and stresses that its birth will create?  The answer will be found in the strength and passion of Conservatives and whether or not they are as committed to their cause as liberals have been for about one hundred years.

Let’s hope and pray that the Conservative Movement will continue to labor on through the current period of adversity and continue the tireless work of restoring America’s greatness.  It’s the last best hope for America and it will take all of us working together to make it a reality not just for ourselves, but for our loved ones and our offspring to follow. They deserve to experience an America that is free and allows personal dreams to become realities through their sweat and toil as lovers of liberty in a land which acknowledges that with God at our side we will reach our destiny.

Same old victimhood and whining, by "genuine true conservatives" that picked the fight to begin with.

Somewhere LESS than 20% of elected Representatives and Senators identify as members of the Tea Party Caucus.

That means their appeal is narrow. They have less political power than their noise might suggest. And it is heading down not up, thanks to their negligent vetting and choices of disappointingly poor candidates.

Just the opposite is true. GOP has been whining since Obummer got elected. It was the GOP who began picking fights with conservatives. Rather than blaming themselves for losses with candidates like McCain, they blamed conservatives.
