Reid: GOP Senators Should Wear Koch Insignias

The Senate should take a page from NASCAR and encourage its members to wear emblems of their donors, says Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.

“Many Republican senators these days might as well wear Koch industries insignias,” the Nevada Democrat said on the Senate floor Monday. “While they don’t wear Koch industries ties and jackets, they display their sponsors proudly through their actions here in the United States Senate.”

This was the latest in a series of Reid rants against the businessmen brothers. While on the floor, Reid’s office tweeted out a sample of how the majority head, who was recently granted new powers with the end of some Senate supermajority requirements, thinks Republican wardrobe should look:

Reid should be strait-jacketed.  He's muttering like an imbecile in an institution.

Reid is faking senility in order to get the ink.  He's an evil SOB.

Just how offensive can this man get?  He's the one who sold Tom Steyer the floor of the Senate for $50million of Steyer's own money and a promise of contributions collected from other people of $50 million.

The memes of him wearing Nazi SS uniforms are actually believable.  He's appears perfectly in them.  I hate him.

But evidently his constituency feels okay with him.   Which is also scary.

This Union has gone from Webster's reply to Hayne to Reid, Pelosi, Sheila Jackson-Lee and Wassermann-Schultz.

There's no fixing this folks.
“[Euthanasia] is what any State medical service has sooner or later got to face. If you are going to be kept alive in institutions run by and paid for by the State, you must accept the State’s right to economize when necessary …” The Ministry of Fear by Graham Green (New York: Penguin Books [1943] 2005, p. 165).

I came to that conclusion at some point last year.

What I find funny about the demonizing of the Koch brothers is the fact they aren't actually Conservatives- they are Libertarians. One even ran for Vice-President on the Libertarian ticket. Yes, they give a lot to Political groups, but they also give a LOT to everything. They are some of the biggest philanthropists in this country. Do you like PBS and NPR? Listen to the donation credits on some of your favorite shows. The Koch Foundation is one of their biggest contributors. They recently gave $100 Million to the Children's Cancer Research Foundation and the left decried this demanding the foundation refuse the donation simply because of the mythological 'evil' they have portrayed the Koch brothers to be. They are an American success story and should be praised. Instead, they are just the new bogeyman.

The Dems can't possibly keep up this Koch nonsense for another 7 months and expect people to not tune out about it, can they?

They are running against private citizens.  That is how low Obama has taken this country.
Trump has created a cult and looks more and more like Hitler every day.

Pro gay-marriage, pro choice, pro pot legalization, anti-war-on-drugs..........as far as things go socially, doubt you'd find many liberals who would disagree with the Koch's but of course you can't let the rampant sheep know that, they might start to think for themselves.

Stop and think folks.

How many here thought we'd be witnessing such things...such articles...such out and out hatred since this man was elected?

I wish a Conservative Hollywood cabal...together with the Koch Brothers could produce a major movie...with major stars...depicting a comparison with what is going on today, and 1930's Germany and the Jew.

I dare them.

Me for one, although I figured it would be gone in Nov 2012.

How could I know that the Amerikun voters would reelect such a travesty.

Reid: GOP Senators Should Wear Koch Insignias

yeah, maybe, but one thing that is not maybe is that Reid wears Depends. LOL

It is  f***ing laughable that the dope smoking, "oh so intellectual" teenage/twenty something Liberals have all their eggs being carried by an 80 year old freak straight out of 1950! hahahaha ... such losers.

Yeah! That who I want "taking it to the Republicans", my great grandfather! Harry Reid is at least 3 or 4 times as old as anyone he claims to represent. What a joke! The guy is a caveman from back when we used to make our own fire, and we made our own furniature, and by God we loved it! You have to be kidding me. This guy was growing up when silent movies were "the rage". They were the Windows or the Twitter of his time.

Yeah, Great Grandpa, tell me again how bad those evil Republicans were back in 1930, back when you were still young enough to chew your own food!! LOL

He and Pelosi should be married. They are both ancient dinosaurs from some long lost era, a long, long, time ago.

When they dream they both still say in their sleep, Yeah man, Peace, and love, and rock and roll...Troops out of South Korea dude, Troops out of Veitnam!!! They are lost in another time...

And, they are both living on borrowed time. Tick, tick, tock, man. Everyday these guys wake up in the morning is a surprise, and a blessing. Any day could be their last.

Of course, you can say that about anyone, but some animals are 'more equal' than others.

Obviously, I have no problem with people getting old. I do it myself everyday. But steering a country when you were born a hundred years agao and no longer have any idea what is going on, that is more than foolish. It is dangerous. And that is what is happening now.

There gets to be an age we all reach, when we should no longer be allowed to drive. Reid reached that point about two decades ago.

Koch's had a standing invitation from the DCCC as recently as 2011.   They released an audio tape of Patty Murray welcoming them.

Not that anyone cares or will actually do anything about it, but both Reid and Pelosi have massive reserves of wealth offshore (to evade the very taxes that they themselves promote) all I know is that it is on islands, Islands, is the key word. Not yet sure which ones.

Harry Reid is a Democrat, so he cares about people, his motives are pure.

As was stated upthread, there is no fixing this.

That is a truly scary thought.

I'll gladly wear a Koch insignia if Harry will agree to wear a Star of Soros.
Liberalism isn't really about making the world a better place. It's about reassuring the elites that they are good people for wanting to rule over it.

Cayman Islands, would be my guess.

There are some lesser-known tax havens that are probably now better places:  St. Lucia, Brunei, Seychelles, Vanuatu, and Samoa.
Asset security and protection is the key.
