Al Gore Considering “Inconvenient Truth” Sequel No One Wants

Posted By Daniel Greenfield On April 5, 2014 @ 10:13 pm In The Point | No Comments

There’s a reason that Michael Moore didn’t make Bowling for Columbine 2 or Farenheit 1011. Moore is a savvy slimeball who, unlike his competitors, understands the virtue of jumping from issue to issue.

That’s more than Al Gore understands which is why his sequel to his hoax Global Warming doc is the least exciting news since Jaws 18.

Al Gore might need to dust off his projector. The creative forces behind the Oscar-winning environmental documentary An Inconvenient Truth are hatching plans for a sequel to the film that raised global awareness of climate change. “We have had conversations,” producer Lawrence Bender tells THR. “We’ve met; we’ve discussed. If we are going to make a movie, we want it to have an impact.” . . .

Good luck with that.

Gore has been churning out new environmental screeds (or his ghostwriters have) every few years. Even devoted Warmists would have trouble naming a single one.

Our Choice was Gore’s literary sequel to An Inconvenient Truth. Then came The Assault on Reason. Followed by The Future. Then Earth in the Balance.

There’s only so many times that Chicken Little can cry that the sky is falling or that the overgrown boy can cry wolf.

Every few years reviewers dutifully comment that Al Gore (or his ghostwriter) has written another “passionate”, “informed” plea for everyone to go back to the caves and pay him lots of money for fire carbon credits.

But they stopped paying attention to him years ago. Gore has compromised himself ethically and financially. The Current TV sellout infuriated many on the left who helped him get out his message only for him to cash in.

Gore has used Warmist alarmism to get very rich. That’s the real Inconvenient Truth and too many people know about it.

There is danger from all men. The only maxim of a free government ought to be to trust no man living with power to endanger the public liberty.
Public virtue cannot exist in a nation without private, and public virtue is the only foundation of republics. There must be a positive passion for the public good, the public interest, honour, power and glory, established in the minds of the people, or there can be no republican government, nor any real liberty: and this public passion must be superior to all private passions.
