Authorities in Texas are on a manhunt for a violent thug who allegedly beat a pregnant cleaning woman to death while robbing a strip club where he once worked.
Security cameras outside Eclipse strip club in southwest Houston showed Osvaldo Fernandez Aguilar, 23, crossing paths with Maria Lucrecia's husband just moments after he allegedly beat and strangled the five-months pregnant mom to death at the club on March 22, the club's manager told the Houston Chronicle.
German Castro had come to the club with is 5-year-old son at around 5 p.m. because he hadn't been able to reach his wife on her cell.
After a manager arrived to let them in, the group found Lucrecia, 27, dead on the floor, authorities said.
Houston Police said Fernandez-Aguilar fled with about $1,000 from registers at the strip joint, where he once worked security but was fired for fighting with customers.
He was charged with capital murder in the slaying and remained on the run early Monday.
Eclipse manager, Rozbeh Sakika, said Fernandez-Aguilar knew his victim, whose job it was to clean the club before it opened.
"For you to come and kill a pregnant lady that you saw every day, for you to kill her and just walk out of the club like there is nothing wrong. I just don't understand how you can do that," Sakika told reporters at a news conference Sunday.
Fernandez Aguilar worked security at the club for more than a month, but was fired some three weeks before the slaying for aggressive behavior, including brawling with customers.
