Oops! Bill Maher Guests Almost Called Michelle Obama a Racist

racist panel

Paul Ryan was accused of being a racist by race-baiter Rep. Barbara Lee for saying this:

“We have got this tailspin of culture in our inner cities, in particular of men not working and just generations of men not even thinking about working or learning the value and the culture of work, and so there’s a real culture problem here that has to be dealt with,” Ryan said on “Bill Bennett’s Morning in America” radio show. [...]

Ryan said he doesn’t have a racist bone in his body and Lee knows that but he blinked when he said his comments were “inarticulate”. There was nothing inarticulate or racist about what he said. He expressed a viewpoint out of concern.

Republicans have to start meeting these race-baiters head on or it will never stop.

Bill Maher hit it head on in a very articulate way on his show.  He quoted Michelle Obama who said much the same thing as Paul Ryan and left his panel with egg on their faces.

Michelle’s quote was this:

“But today, more than 150 years after the Emancipation Proclamation, more than 50 years after the end of “separate but equal,” when it comes to getting an education, too many of our young people just can’t be bothered.  Today, instead of walking miles every day to school, they’re sitting on couches for hours playing video games, watching TV.  Instead of dreaming of being a teacher or a lawyer or a business leader, they’re fantasizing about being a baller or a rapper.  (Applause.)  Right now, one in three African American students are dropping out of high school.  Only one in five African Americans between the ages of 25 and 29 has gotten a college degree — one in five.”

The woman on the panel complained that what Ryan said is terrible because there are no jobs and he’s blaming the victims. However, it is the Democrats who put the programs in place that do not create jobs.

I would suggest to you that two of the people on this panel are racists except you can’t be a racist against white people I’m told.

"The Tea Party has a right to feel cheated.

When does the Republican Party, put in the majority by the Tea Party, plan to honor its commitment to halt the growth of the Federal monolith and bring the budget back into balance"?
