Barbara Boxer: Hobby Lobby Objections Not Fair Because They Never Talk About Viagra

Ever wonder if there is a personal reason Babs is constantly harping about viagra?
If that little interview doesn’t demonstrate the intellectual level of the current discussion on religious liberty coming from the left….
Here’s the thing, Babs. Viagra is being marketed for a side effect. It’s actually a blood pressure drug. In the beginning, the ED cure was a nuisance. There’s a TON of warnings that go with it, including the famous “seek a doctor for an erection lasting more than four hours.” (Or a porn director. Victim’s choice.) It’s still a dangerous drug.
Do Christian groups object to it? Well, since the net result is not killing innocent human life unless there is a serious drop in blood pressure (one of the side effects), doubtful, although not many people spend time discussing it. Seriously, guys don’t really want to talk about it, unlike women who sit at parties and compare birth control methods. (Really, they do, which is why I spend a lot of time listening to fishing stories.)
As it is, men were not really thought of much in the entire ObamaCare fiasco. Just women, who don’t all use artificial birth control, despite Babs’ assertion. There is such a thing as abstinence and the calendar, which is perfectly free. In fact, there are some Christian approved ways of watching the female body that are more effective than the pills, but she probably doesn’t want to hear that.
But, seriously, for Babs, a couple rather nasty Supreme Court Justicinas and a whole lot of other females who are lobbying for all access birth control all the time, the entire idea that there might be a higher argument for not treating genitalia as a quick and dirty drive through is lost. To them, humans are no different than any other animal in the wild. God is not part of the discussion.
Hence the blithe dismissal of the violation of religious liberty argument.
And as for the assertion that, who knows, some Christian group might object to vaccination – Babs, they’re called Christian Scientists, and they’ve been around for a very long time. They have a boarding school not too far away that ends up quarantined every now and then with measles outbreaks.
Geez, for a “smart” woman, Babs sure is ignorant.
p.s. This is not the first time Babs has equated the idea of abortion/birth control with Viagra. It’s as if sex is all she really understands.
