This is a great bill. I hope it's one that will be revived when  :laugh: the GOP takes over the Senate next Jan. The Feds. own far too much land now and this would at least slow the land grab.

Look - it would work here. Every square centimeter of land belongs to the Crown, from 20 miles up to the Earth's core. The only reason it doesn't go higher is America gets pissy about LEO. Unless you are one of the favored ones - your ancestor held the chamberpot Elizabeth was puking in after a particularly good night - you do not own land. You own the right to put a house on a tract of land and not be bothered, unless the crown finds it convenient to remove you.

We, however, are not a Republic. How can the Feds take state lands? Even if it does not belong to the nominal owner, surely it belongs to the state?
