Putin Plans Military Bases in Latin America While Obama Golfs

March 23, 2014
By Sara Noble

President Obama sent Secretary of State John Kerry out to a meeting of the Organization of American States last November to tell them and the world the Monroe Doctrine was dead and the United States was retreating from Latin America. His announcement was welcomed by Imperialist communist Vladimir Putin who is now planning military bases in Latin America.

Putin has been sending navy ships and bombers to the region for the first time in years.

Russia’s defense minister says the country is planning bases in Cuba, Venezuela, and Nicaragua, and just last week, Putin’s national security team met to discuss increasing military ties in the region, according to the hill.

At the same time, the U.S. military has been forced to cut back on military and government engagements in Latin America because of Obama budget cuts.

As we have reported here before, Mr. Obama has disengaged and China, Russia, Iran and other communist sponsors of terrorism are moving in.

Many, obviously including Mr. Obama, don’t see it as a threat. Some see it as a stabilizing force as foolhardy as that is.

There is danger from all men. The only maxim of a free government ought to be to trust no man living with power to endanger the public liberty.
Public virtue cannot exist in a nation without private, and public virtue is the only foundation of republics. There must be a positive passion for the public good, the public interest, honour, power and glory, established in the minds of the people, or there can be no republican government, nor any real liberty: and this public passion must be superior to all private passions.
