9 days after being shot Orr Academy teen Tyquone Greer hits winning basket
March 19, 2014 (CHICAGO) (WLS) -- Nine days after he was shot, Chicago teenager Tyquone Greer made the winning shot to send his high school basketball team to the state championship.
Greer is a standout basketball player for Orr Academy. He took to the court on Tuesday to make a three-pointer in the final three seconds against North Chicago High School. "It was a big shot, and I made it," Greer said. The 19-year-old was shot in the leg while at a party earlier this month. A 22-year-old man is charged in the case. The Orr Spartans will go to the state championship for the second straight season, and hope to take home the title this year.
