Michael Douglas' troubled son Cameron has reportedly been released from solitary confinement after the actor's impassioned plea at the 2013 Emmy Awards six months ago.

The jailed drug dealer has been serving time behind bars for since 2009 conspiracy to distribute narcotics after he was caught selling heroin in a New York hotel room.

And while the 35-year-old is still not due for release from incarceration until 2018, he is now said to have been released from solitary confinement at Maryland’s Cumberland Federal Corrections Institute after spending almost two years in the facility following a relapse while
