84,000 Michigan Medicaid Applicants Are Still Waiting Due To Glitches In Obamacare Website

84,000 Medicaid applicants in Michigan are being “forced” to wait for benefits because of glitches in the Obamacare website, WWMT reported Monday via The Detroit News and an earlier AP report:

About 84,000 Michigan residents who qualify for government health insurance are being force to wait for benefits because of glitches in the new federal insurance website.

The Detroit News reported Monday that Medicaid applications on the healthcare.gov website since Oct. 1 haven’t been getting processed because the state hasn’t gotten complete applications back from the federal government. The Michigan Department of Community Health says the problem isn’t unique to Michigan.

The issue also is expected to affect low-income adults who will start qualifying for Medicaid next month under the federal health care law.

"Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, religion and morality are indispensable supports. In vain would that man claim tribute to patriotism who should labor to subvert these great pillars of human happiness -- these firmest props of the duties of men and citizens. . . . reason and experience both forbid us to expect that national morality can prevail in exclusion of religious principles."
George Washington

"Only a virtuous people are capable of freedom. As nations become more corrupt and vicious, they have more need of masters."
Benjamin Franklin
