Rep. Cotton gets hitched

By Rebecca Shabad

Rep. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.), a freshman congressman and Senate candidate, announced his marriage over the weekend.

On Sunday, he posted a photo from the wedding on his Instagram account.

It became known in November that the Arkansas Republican was engaged. No further details were available about his bride-to-be.

The Arkansas Times wrote about the marriage Sunday and said, after comparing photos from a Google search, it suspects Cotton's new wife is named Anna Peckham.

Cotton, 36, was first elected to Congress in 2012. He is currently running against incumbent Democratic Sen. Mark Pryor (Ark.) in what will likely be a highly competitive race this November.

Cotton graduated from Harvard University and Harvard Law School. He later served in both Iraq and Afghanistan.

At least it was a woman he married.

Interesting how he kept it very quiet. Rather classy, that.
