Original Tea Partyers Returning to GOP Fold

"Racism is evil. And those who cause violence in its name are criminals and thugs including the KKK, neo-Nazis, white supremacists, and other hate groups that are repugnant to everything we hold dear as Americans."  -  President Donald J Trump

Does anybody really want to throw out good, educated and accomplished young people who have jobs, some serving in the military? Really!.....
...They have been in our country for many years through no fault of their own - brought in by parents at young age. Plus BIG border security

I come in peace, I didn't bring artillery.  But I am pleading with you with tears in my eyes:  If you bleep with me, I'll kill you all.

Marine General James Mattis, to Iraqi tribal leaders (Note: Mattis did NOT say "BLEEP". He threw the F Bomb)

I didn't enlist in the Corps just to watch my country become a Third World Communist Shit-hole. Don't know anyone who did.

This cycle will end only when voters realize that these are not groups filled with ideological purists willing to do battle because they are true believers. They're just good-old-fashioned political swindlers.

And swindlers only close their doors when the cash stops coming in.

Swindlers.  That's a good term for such outfits as Heritage Action, Conservative Senate Fund, and Freedom Works.

They'll be pimping Democrats before it's over so that they can keep their doors open because, for them, it's all about the money.

Interesting article. Nationally TP approval is DOWN from the peak, and disapproval is UP by even more.

Not just one poll, but several.

Let's discuss why their popularity has waned? Could it possibly be the tens of millions of conservative Americans who have always voted for Republicans, got tired and pissed off about being called disrespectful names, by brash relative newcomers?

It might also be because many conservative Americans do not like the dim rule. The way to get rid of that is by having a plan and a strategy for taking control back. That is the goal that I think is most important. There are "establishment" groups that have that goal in mind, and have strategies and plans to reach that goal.

The TP groups have a goal of purifying the GOP. They'd rather have 100% conservative candidates (not that I'm sure what that is; I only know that I'm not one) who lose elections than RINOs who win.

Given a choice between an imperfect GOP in charge and a perfect GOP in minority status, I'll take the first option every time.

Or as I've observed, the original TP goal of defeating democrats has morphed into a goal of defeating incumbent Republicans.

Enough Republicans have noticed this, and witnessed the unvetted candidate disasters, the name-calling, etc. and withdrawn support of the non-organization-organization.

I think the true conservatives believed a grass roots army would rise up and sweep them into power.

Sen Cruz taked about this silent majority when he tried to explain how a minority in the Senate was going to force Obama to his knees during the Oct shutdown.

While the far right pushes for more and more exclusivity for who speaks with the real voice of conservatism, they are talking to fewer and fewer voters.  Seems like a dumb way to takeover the GOP.   Now that they have sullied the name of the Tea Party they're getting out.  http://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2014/03/04/jim_demint_ive_never_been_part_of_the_tea_party_in_my_life.html
