Andrea Mitchell had Sen. John McCain (R_AZ) on her Friday MSNBC program to discuss what can be done to stop Russian President Vladimir Putin's invasion of the Ukraine when as a parting question Mitchell asked McCain to respond to a swipe Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) took at he, former Gov. Mitt Romney (R-MA) and former Sen. Bob Dole (R-KS), all failed GOP presidential nominees, during his CPAC speech yesterday.
McCain, while saying he and Mitt can defend themselves, demanded an apology for Dole because of his outstanding service to our country with both his war time sacrifice and life long political career...

That Canadian guy has a lot of balls calling 2 US wounded veterans unprincipled IMO, Probably an unpopular opinion on this patriot web forum.
Some will say the truth sucks McCain, but I'd ask, why bother calling McCain, Dole, and Romney unprincipled? Who benefits? does it convert one voter to the GOP?
If I said a poster to GOPBR was incapable of thinking past a bumperstick he read, it might be the truth. but what does anyone gain from the insult. Cruz could have made his point just as effectively with out insulting.
The down side is that Cruz is openly attacking McCain. If I was McCain I'd be pissed.
Some will say "Oh well."
I hope some conservatives can recognize that that is a dangerous thing to do even if it feels good. Ask J D Hayworth what happens when McCain takes it personal. Who you say? Exactly.
Cruz has declared war on McCain, McConnell, and the GOPe. If I was the GOPe I might release any opposition research against my enemies just after the Tea Party fails to unseat a sitting GOPe senator this election season.
