"Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, religion and morality are indispensable supports. In vain would that man claim tribute to patriotism who should labor to subvert these great pillars of human happiness -- these firmest props of the duties of men and citizens. . . . reason and experience both forbid us to expect that national morality can prevail in exclusion of religious principles."
George Washington

"Only a virtuous people are capable of freedom. As nations become more corrupt and vicious, they have more need of masters."

To the multicultural Marxists, to be proud to be an American is arrogant and Xenophobic.  That this discussion even took place on a major network speaks volumes as to the decline of our nation and its march towards Gomorrah.

Exactly. The media is trying to break apart American nationalism. The endgame is to have America look just like every other "first world" country-- in other words, western/central European socialism. To do that, they have to make American nationalism look uncool, something that would've been unthinkable just twelve years ago.

"It ain't arrogance if you can back it up."  (With the Dems in charge I'm not so sure we can still back it up any more, but I'd like to think so.)

Loving your country and preferring it over all others isn't xenophobia, either.

It's one thing to fret over the glorification of materialism, but the leftists' boohooing over our approval of achievement is, well, telling.

You answered your own question. They are not in touch with reality.

They want the message to be Obama's message, that America is not exceptional and we should bow to other nations and the wealthy are the boogie man. We all get that but yeah, a freaking commercial? Their take over over of schools most especially, must be stopped.

IIRC he always dresses like that -when I have seen him in suits in other shows- for some reason?

They are being offended by an electric car manufactured in this country by a division of government motors.

Am I the only one who thinks this is ironic being that it comes from Government Motors?  I like the spirit of the ad, but I wouldn't buy a GM car if it was the last car manufacturer on earth.
