Former U.S. Ambassador John Bolton blasted President Barack Obama for his handling of Benghazi, saying that the president “has done nothing to avenge [Ambassador] Chris Stevens’s death.”
“This is a terrible lesson for our adversaries to learn that under Barack Obama, you can murder his personal representative and get away scot-free,” Bolton said during remarks Thursday at the Conservative Political Action Conference at National Harbor, Md., just outside Washington.
“The president has done nothing to avenge Chris Stevens’s death,” he said in a speech that hit the president on a number of foreign policy issues.
Bolton, who called Benghazi the “paradigm of the Obama’s doctrine failure,” also slammed former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, referencing her testimony during a Senate committee hearing on the attack last year.
“Conservatives are not going to let this issue go away,” he added.
“And we will be happy to tell Hillary Clinton in unmistakable terms: We know what difference it makes, even if you don’t!” Bolton said.
