Palin was coached by this man and could probably handle it better than Obama.

When does the Republican Party, put in the majority by the Tea Party, plan to honor its commitment to halt the growth of the Federal monolith and bring the budget back into balance"?

Great article by a truly great Statesman.  The only problem is that in the Age of Obama, John Fing Kerry thinks he is the modern day Kissinger and Obama acts like it is true.  Kissinger has a deep understanding of the roots of the continuing conflict in Ukraine whereas nobody currently advising the President has anything resembling experience and the NSC is making this up as they go along.

In Kissinger's day the US Government had a long term strategy for dealing with the Soviets based upon what their actual track record was.  Today the US Foreign policy is Performance Art based upon what the President thinks the world ought to be.

It is a distinctly dangerous difference....

Agreed.

Not going to say Kissinger is a terribly nice man. He is not. Yet he's the sort of diplomat you get once a generation, if you are really lucky. Has an almost eerie ability to get inside the other guy's head and predict what they are going to do.

Wish he were young enough to be co-opted for this current SNAFU.

It would behoove Obama to seek Kissinger's advice, but we know that will never happen.

He'd probably get better advice from the White House Janitor than he's currently getting.

Heck, I'd rather have the White House Janitor as our PRESIDENT over what we have now.

I wouldn't be surprised if Obama and Kerry played with each other while pontificating.
Why?  Well, because I'm a bastard, that's why.

I never considered Kissinger as someone who should be liked, respected, or trusted.

The most revealing picture of him I've ever seen is at the close of the Paris Peace Talks, sharing a drink with the grinning Le Duc Tho. We all know why he was grinning.

Kissinger was a latter day Chamberlain. He knew what he was doing, and what he was signing away...

My opinion only.
And I ain't changin' it!

what, exactly, was he signing away?
