Hillary Clinton Now Handing Out Awards Named After Herself

Posted By Daniel Greenfield On March 5, 2014 @ 7:07 pm In The Point | 10 Comments

Hillary Clinton has been getting a whole lot of awards from everyone.

The President of Georgia honored her with the Order of the Golden Fleece. The American Bar Association had already given Hillary its highest honor for “her immense accomplishments as a lawyer”. The National Constitution Center awarded her the Liberty Medal (an honor she shares with such Constitutional scholars as Bono, Hamid Karzai and her husband).

Hillary received the American Patriot Award at the National Defense University Foundation and the Hermandad Award from the Mexican American Leadership Initiative.

Considering that Hillary Clinton is as much of an American patriot as is she is a Mexican-American leader… both awards seem equally deserved.

But Hillary isn’t just a taker, she’s also a giver. And so she’s giving out awards… with typical modesty named after herself.

Former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton presented Georgetown’s annual Hillary Rodham Clinton Awards for Advancing Women in Peace and Security.

Confusingly none of the three recipients of the Hillary Rodham Clinton Awards for Advancing Women in Peace and Security were women… but the presence of women would just distract from Hillary Clinton’s accomplishment as the only female leader in human history.

Clinton credited the three award winners for their dedicated efforts in championing women’s rights globally.

And the winners are…

Anders Fogh Rasmussen, Secretary General of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and British Foreign Secretary William Hague.

NATO is known for nothing if not championing women’s rights globally, but it’s an award named after a woman who was named after a mountain climber who only became famous six years after she was born.

So don’t expect logic from Clintonworld.

Hague responded to his award by delivering a speech praising Hillary’s non-existent accomplishments.

Hillary, you enhanced the standing of US diplomacy in the world. You strengthened the State Department. You created new opportunities for your country, breaking fresh diplomatic ground in Asia and Africa. You are one of the world’s resolute champions of human rights, and in doing all these things and more you placed the United States in a stronger position for the 21st century. You are a remarkable stateswoman and an outstanding American, and I am glad to call you my friend.

I don’t think anyone can disagree with that, between her misspelled Russian reset button, locking up a man for making a video and letting Americans die in Benghazi while blowing money on art collections… Hillary has really made America stronger.

And if you say so, you might just win the Hillary Rodham Clinton Awards for Advancing Women in Peace and Security from…. Hillary Clinton.
