The Left and "a small percentage"
« on: March 05, 2014, 02:59:20 pm »
I was watching "The Five" the other day and noticed the term "a small percentage" dribble from Bob Beckle's mouth.  Yet, from mouth's such as Obama's, Jay Carney to Senator Menedez those who suffer from the impact of policies are dismissed as "a small percentage".
In a nation of 310,000,000 a "small percentage" is a whole lot of people.  Think of it in terms of employment, "lost" health insurance or investor dollars and it adds up to a whole lot.
Is it time for journalists to toss out numbers in response?  In the same way as countless millions are homeless?  Isn't it remarkable there are probably more homeless now in America than ever under President Reagan's stewardship.  When he was hammered relentlessly by the media for homeless veterans, children and cripples?
Why?  Well, because I'm a bastard, that's why.
