Progressive media propaganda watch sources

With all of the information sources available to us today it is sometimes hard to know which are fact-based and which are providing disinformation. And while some information websites started out as fact-based and/or non-biased, many, over time, have become corrupted; biased -- either in total or in part -- to one ideological or political viewpoint.

For the sake of transparency, The New Media Journal and its parent organization, BasicsProject.org, while being politically non-partisan, adhere to a restrained constitutional vision and, therefore, observe a more traditional constitutionally American viewpoint. We are honest in that pursuit, where many other informational sources claim to be non-biased in total, a goal that can never honestly be attained.

On this page you will find a list of informational sources that have proven to advance the Progressive ideology. Most, if not all, present themselves as non-biased or fact-based. Through an examination of the information these websites provide, including their funding sources, parent organizations, leadership, stated goals and the quality and content of the information presented -- and based on comparison with the facts as determined by first-source material, when available -- the following informational sources warrant a critical and discerning eye when gleaned for information:

Think Progress is trying to spin the military downsize into being no big deal.

When does the Republican Party, put in the majority by the Tea Party, plan to honor its commitment to halt the growth of the Federal monolith and bring the budget back into balance"?
