World leaders said yesterday that Russia’s invasion of Ukraine threatened to spiral into the biggest international crisis since the end of the Cold War.

On a dramatic day of escalation in what the U.S. called an ‘incredible act of aggression’ by Moscow, there were warnings that the standoff threatens peace in Europe.

And today leaders of Europe and the U.S. called on Russia to act with 'self-restraint' and 'responsibility' and urged them to ease tensions in Crimea.

Ukraine’s acting prime minister, Arseniy Yatseniuk, said today his country would never give up Crimea.

Russian forces have taken control of the Black Sea peninsula, which is part of Ukraine, but Yatseniuk told reporters: 'No one will give up Crimea to anyone.'

Will Obama cancel this? Or does he think sending Kerry suffices?

Putin On The Attack, Obama On His Way To Connecticut!

WASHINGTON – On Wednesday, March 5, the President will travel to Connecticut and deliver remarks at Central Connecticut State University on minimum wage. The President will be joined by Governor Malloy of Connecticut, Governor Patrick of Massachusetts, Governor Chafee of Rhode Island, and Governor Shumlin of Vermont to discuss the importance of raising the minimum wage and giving hardworking Americans the raise they deserve.

  • Your what hurts??
Putin is playing chess while Obama shoots marbles.  Putin doesn't have the Olympics to worry about now, so his entire attention is on Ukraine and Crimea.  The Russian troops are on the ground in force in both places, and they are not leaving any time soon.  Kerry needs to understand that Putin is the one who is deadly serious, and he is demonstrating that with action, not strong language.

Kerry keeps repeating that "every option is on the table" and that is pure BS.  The US does not have the assets in place to do anything about this, nor does NATO, and it would take time to do anything meaningful at this point.  Lots of talk right now from the US side, and that's about all there is likely to be.

Leading from behind....

If Obama campaigns and leaves all of this up to Lurch Kerry. WILL THE MEDIA STILL cover for him? Putin saved Obama's ass the last foreign crisis. He is weak and nothing but a radical partisan never-ending campaign. How many more SEALs/Soldiers/Sailors have to die because of this fool letting things go?

God, help us please.
