Under de Blasio, NYC Schools to Close for Islamic Holy Days
Once they have the technology, Muslims may deal with American civilization by nuking it, but progressives have a more incremental approach. They want to dilute it out of existence by blending it with ever more foreign elements until it isn’t there anymore. This year’s ballyhooed Super Bowl commercials provided a couple of examples. Another is the undermining of traditional American holidays by mixing them in with a hodgepodge of foreign holidays meaningless to most Americans, thereby draining significance from our own.
Of course, the holidays of hostile civilizations will receive priority. That’s why we read this from New York, where nearly 3,000 people were killed in a Muslim atrocity barely more than a decade ago:
New York City is moving to close school for two Muslim holidays and the Lunar New Year — but Mayor de Blasio isn’t so sure about the Hindu festival Diwali.
Appearing on WNYC’s “Brian Lehrer Show” on Monday, the mayor said he hadn’t taken a position on whether Diwali, the festival of lights celebrated in India and other South Asian countries, should be a day off from school.
But he said he’d move forward with closing schools for Lunar New Year and for Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha, Muslim holy days. …
“We are disappointed. We’ve been trying for a long time … It’s very important for the community,” said Dr. Shashi Shah of the Association of Indians in America.
Here’s an idea, Dr Shah. Call for the obliteration of America in the name of Hinduism, then set off a nuke in Manhattan. The moonbats in charge will give kids a whole week off school and put Lord Vishnu’s face on the dollar bill.
