Fed jokes about killing climate change deniers

US Dept of Congress

And here you thought Barack Obama was the only member of his administration with a rapist’s rapier wit! Yeah, think again. The U.S. Department of Commerce has come out with a positively hilarious piece on strategies for dealing with the 2014 icicle surplus. See, the joke here is we have all these icicles hanging around (in both senses) in the aftermath of the polar vortex that brought record cold snaps to many parts of the country. The Commerce Department, which apparently has nothing better to do than create cartoons on weather phenomena, commissioned this rib-tickler, which the New York Times was willing to publish.

Notice that one of the recommended applications is “dispatching climate change deniers” (upper right). Hey, what’s wrong? Can’t you take a joke? What are you gonna do — just sit there and pout because you’re too thin-skinned to take some harmless ribbing?

In the meantime, here’s some real hilarity for you. The polar vortex isn’t done bringing sub-0 temperatures to the Midwest and Northeast. Oh, my aching sides!

Isn't the WH kept at 76-78 degrees because Obama doesn't like the cold?  That's a bad waste of money to have the temperature set that high - for everyone else - says Obama. :peeonobama:

He's pining for the warmth of Indonesia. Er, Africa.  Er, Hawaii. You know, his homeland.

Reminds me of Barbra Steisand setting the a/c in her California home at a freezing cold level so that she could have a fire going in the fireplace at the same time. How cozy!
