Three senior “nuke-jobs” were arrested after busting into a top security Tennessee nuclear facility and splashing blood on the buildings.

The breach of a high-security area at the Y-12 National Security Complex by the three anti-nuclear weapons activists pictured above has not changed plans to cut up to 34 security officers. From left to right, the three are Michael R. Walli, Megan Rice, and Greg Boertje-Obed. (Oak Ridge)

The three protesters snuck through fences at the plant and spray-painted slogans and splashed human blood on a high-security uranium storage building. And they left four spray painted tags on the recent construction which read: “Woe to the empire of blood; The fruit of justice is peace; Work for peace not for war; and Plowshares please Isaiah.”

Sister Megan Rice, 84, of the Sisters of St. Francis of Penance and Christian Charity was found guilty of two felonies related to her breaking into a nuclear weapons production facility in Tennessee.

Today Sister Rice was sentenced to three years in prison
 The BBC reported:

An elderly Catholic nun has been sentenced to nearly three years in prison for damage caused while breaking into a US nuclear defence site.

Sister Megan Rice, 84, and two other protesters cut fences and entered the Oak Ridge, Tennessee, facility, which processes and stores uranium.

The other two, Michael Walli and Greg Boertje-Obed, were sentenced to more than five years in prison.

The July 2012 incident prompted security changes at the Y-12 site.

“Please have no leniency with me,” Sister Megan told the court at Tuesday’s hearing in Knoxville.

“To remain in prison for the rest of my life would be the greatest gift you could give me.”

During the trial Sister Megan, from Washington DC, said her only regret was waiting so long to take action.

  • Cats rule. Dogs drool.
She's going to be listened to with extreme respect by the other inmates.

Nun: "What you in for?"
Inmate: "Drug dealing. You?"
Nun: "Breaking in to a nuclear weapons site."
Inmate: "That is hardcore."

 :silly: :silly: :silly: :silly:

I almost wonder if God put the idea in her head there for a reason. There are a lot of lost souls in the prison system. Mat she do good and with grace.
The universe doesn't hate you. Unless your name is Tsutomu Yamaguchi
