Thanks for the update.

Cornyn is going to win this primary without a runoff.  The people who turnout to vote in primaries are primarily older and the vast majority of those are pretty satisfied with Cornyn's representation.

They will NOT vote for an unknown like Stovall or a blithering idiot like Stockman.
Roy Moore's "spiritual warfare" is driving past a junior high without stopping.

I believe it will be a tough chance for any challenger for Cornyn for several reasons.

We have multiple challengers to Cornyn splitting up the opposition vote.
None of the challengers to Cornyn stand out. You have a point in your sarcasm in how the establishment Rove types paint opposition to the establishment as 'idiots', etc. If we had a challenger like Michael Williams, the dynamic would be very different.
The blue-hair, geriatric voter base usually doesn't like change and loves to rally around ra-ra rhetoric. Many of these were Democrats when Ann Richards was around and like that style- one that Cornyn projects.  I heard almost your exact words coming from an Ann Richards type blue hair last night.  They will vote, the youth won't.
The primary is still snowbird season in Texas. I'm not sure about the numbers, but enough may be registered here to make a difference in candidates more appealing to Northern, establishment sensibilities.

Interesting report, AB.  Note words count and this [[[ (he actually used the term 'mitigate' often instead of stop ]]] speaks volumes about what is wrong with the GOPe.

The GOP (e or otherwise) cannot stop Obamacare as long as Obama is president.  All it can do is lessen the pain.

Ted Cruz has not been successful at stopping anything except the favorable rise in the GOP approval in September.

If you were paying attention to what they are all saying they don't want to get rid of Obamacare they just want to change it to THEIR version of healthcare.  They are as much the problem as the Democrats in this.    Both parties are responsible for the mess we are in with healthcare, the budget and a zillion other things.   Both are corrupt to the bone.  They represent Wall street not mainstreet.
