There should be Ground Based Interceptors in the Eastern and Southern U.S.A We have Ground Based Interceptors at Vandenberg AFB in California and Fort Greeley in Alaska.

Slight problem. If they are in flight when an EMP burst goes off, you have several multi-million dollar things making large holes in the ground or a big splash in the ocean. EMP is the second most deadly weapon available to subdue a country - Chieftain's favorite (throwing rocks from orbit) is the most deadly by far.

You can try to harden them, but there is a limit to what you can do.

EMP Burst Over Kansas at a height of 298 miles. Judging by the map the epicenter is somewhere over Kansas City.

The Ground Based Interceptors and their facilities are hardened against a nuclear EMP environment. In addition, the payload will be hardened to elevated doses of X-rays to allow operation in nuclear environments.

I knew this sh*t was coming from World Nut Daily.  They've been pimping the Iranian EMP threat since 2001.

These ship are pieces of junk.  Just where are they carrying the missile needed to loft a multi-megaton hydrogen bomb high enough to create a wide scale EMP?

World Nut Daily is crap for a reason.

Glen Beck is not nearly as bad as World Nut Daily.  They have been pimping this story for almost 13 years now, when not pimping the Al-Qaeda "suitcase nukes."

I was expecting that response. Since you are the nuclear expert are you forgetting the results of Operation Teak and Orange. Also are you forgetting the results of Operation Starfish Prime?
