President Obama will join French President Francois Hollande in Normandy in June to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the D-Day landings, Obama said Tuesday.
Obama accepted the invitation from Hollande during a state visit at the White House Tuesday.
Obama visited Normandy four years ago to mark the anniversary of D-Day.
And Hollande said French residents would welcome Obama's return to France.
Hollande framed Obama's ascent to the White House as “proof that America was moving forward once more.”
Obama will host a state dinner for Hollande later Tuesday.
