Obama’s Plan for Social Engineering Housing in the United States

January 31, 2014
By Sara Noble

Socialism: System of social organization in which private property and the distribution of income are subject to social control; also, the political movements aimed at putting that system into practice.

When Mr. Obama gave his State of the Union address last Tuesday, he made this comment: ”…And since the most important investment many families make is their home, send me legislation that protects taxpayers from footing the bill for a housing crisis ever again, and keeps the dream of homeownership alive for future generations of Americans.”

Mr. Obama pushed for the Dodd-Frank bill that was supposed to avert any future housing crises. Obviously it doesn’t and he knows it. The irony of Dodd-Frank is that both men for whom it is named had a hand in the housing collapse. Chris Dodd received a corrupt housing deal from Countrywide, a company that sold defective mortgages. Both Chris Dodd and Barney Frank pushed the banks to provide mortgages to people who could ill afford them under The Community Reinvestment Act.

An outline of Mr. Obama’s plan to social engineer housing in every neighborhood

Obama has a mortgage redistribution scheme.  He wants to redistribute money from taxpayers to people with underwater homes in a principal reduction scheme. Taxpayers would foot the bill since the government doesn’t have any money of its own. Mr. Obama would like to make that US policy because he sees home ownership as a “right” to be financed by those who have more resources.

Mr. Obama has ordered the mapping of all neighborhoods across America, in every town and in every city, so he can redistribute the assets of wealthier neighborhoods to poorer neighborhoods, particularly into minority neighborhoods.

He is using a HUD housing rule which will set up a long-term plan for redistributing resources.

HUD plans to provide data for every neighborhood in the country listing the access minorities have to local assets such as schools, jobs, transportation,and other neighborhood resources that help bring people into the middle class.

The plan will then develop long-term solutions to help ‘people gain access to different neighborhoods,’…’channeling investments into under-served areas.’ The mapping tool may be used to guide development and zoning decisions as two examples.

It won’t make people productive but it will set up a system for stealing from those who are.

HUD has been giving tens of millions of taxpayer dollars to radical organizations such as LaRaza, The National Community Reinvestment Corporation, and the National Urban League, allegedly for mortgage counseling. Their counseling entails organizing people to protest and riot around banks, demanding loans for minorities even if they can’t afford them.

HUD, under Andrew Cuomo, is the organization that helped lead to the collapse of the mortgage market by forcing banks to give loans to those who couldn’t afford them.

‘Simplified mortgage disclosure forms’ are a cause for concern in New York. They are meant to classify the poor as a ‘protected class’ who do not have to release their financial records to banks. These forms have not yet been approved. How are banks supposed to give loans to people without the proper financial records? It’s bad enough that welfare counts as income now for the purposes of home purchases under some of these government plans.

Mr. Obama wants to control your personal home according to stringent environmental regulations. Under the banner of protecting Americans’ health, he is going to control every aspect of your housing, particularly housing for the poor through his ”Advancing Healthy Housing: A Strategy for Action.” It will also enable more subsidies and entitlements.

The healthy homes strategy sets five goals for reducing the number of substandard homes:

– Establish healthy homes recommendations (homes should be dry, clean, pest-free, safe, contaminant-free, well-ventilated, and well-maintained and thermally controlled);

– Encourage adoption of healthy homes recommendations (federal, state and local regulations);

– Create and support training and workforce development to address health hazards in housing (train people for new jobs in green energy and construction);

– Educate the public about healthy homes (advertising campaigns telling Americans how their homes ought to be)

– Support research that advances healthy housing in a cost-effective manner (taxpayer-funded grants to study the problem).

Not only is he going to tell you what you can or cannot do in your homes, he’s going subsidize his efforts to study it, control it, add entitlements, and penalize violations by the non-entitled, using your taxpayer dollars in the form of grants. Mostly it will be used to add entitlements and put more people on the government rewards program.

Any tax system implemented under Mr. Obama will be redistributive and will involve heavy taxation. We have already seen examples of both of these in ObamaCare.

His plan is to social engineer our environment and our housing using massive government bureaucracies. That’s not freedom, that’s tyranny.

HUD already started this in New York State.. Westchester county.  I am stunned though that welfare now counts as income to buy a home...

Heck, I'm waiting for him to decide that Mr. M and I have "more house than we need," and he either forces us out (in favor of a family of 8) or requires us to take in Section 8-type tenants.  :whistle:

Come to Detroit!

Houses from as low as a dollar.

The "invisible hand" renders homes in Detroit almost worthless.

Obama would invest other peoples' money, to make them "healthy homes."

Speaking of food stamps, I just stopped in Aldi to pick up a couple of items and was behind a family in the check-out line. Healthy-looking father, mother, children - and their order of about $160 was paid for with the ubiquitous EBT card. Presumably, that covered the giant family-size package of assorted snacks (potato chips, etc.), Slim Jim-type jerky and the like.

And they didn't even thank me for buying their groceries!

At least you can tell. Here - nope. It's a bank card, like every other card. Drawn on the post office, but a lot of people have post office accounts, they are convenient. The dole, child benefit, housing allowance, etc. gets loaded straight into the account.

You mean they also didn't have lobster and T Bone steaks?  Since they didn't spend it on such things maybe they went to a casino with the card.

This new HUD-driven plan is to move them into upscale neighborhoods and if the upscale neighborhoods don't have low-cost (ie almost free) housing HUD is going to require them to build it or convert existing housing into housing for the poor..... so the people who love to park a dozen broken down old junk cars in the yards, party day and night because unlike the rest of us they don't have to work are moving into places like Beverly Hills - the Government is mandating it.  The mayor of the upscale town in New York HUD is making his first test case has vowed to fight this to the SCOTUS if need be - he said they have a lot of green space in their town for a reason - they LIKE low density - HUD has deemed their green space build-able space for the poor housing they want to move into their town.

So - more Projects. That has worked so well the last dozen times, after all.

The Detroit thing was a joke - but it'd work, if you think about it. You don't want to work? You want to trash your own nest? You live here until you learn better.

This time more projects - but with a twist - the more expensive your current neighborhood - you know the neighborhoods with gates to keep the crime and riff-raff out?  The riff-raff now has to be welcomed into your neighborhood per HUD -- oh and I almost forgot - they are actually going to do lotteries in the inner cities to choose your new neighbors...  the whole thing is so insidious it would "almost" be funny if it wasn't so darned socialist...   BTW the Democrats think this will help turn the predominantly Republican burbs - blue.

I think they were doing that sort of thing in Pittsburgh. My mother was afraid the Section 8 crowd was going to move into her suburban neighborhood.

The mayor of the town in New York where the Feds are pushing this was on Wilkow last week, they had a very detailed discussion of this - a lot of stuff we never hear on Fox and should.

You shouldn't judge people on the way people look healthwise.  I wish I was as healthy as I looked.  Granted, I'm not on welfare, EBT, Section 8, autos for deadbeats, phones for the poverty stricken, whatever.  You can't judge health by looks.  And yeah I'm mocking the programs for the less fortunate but when people take advantage it makes all those who may need assistance.
Especially if you've worked for 25+ years and paid into benefits programs.
That's all.

If I judged anything, it was the fact that my tax dollars are going to pay for these peoples' snack foods, which are not a necessity. I didn't judge their health, just noted that they appeared healthy.

 I wouldn't mind food stamps if they were limited to a few essential items. Potato chips and Slim Jims should not be in that category.

Never made hobo dip?  :laugh:

Chop up a Slim Jim. Throw it into a pan with a can of baked beans and a splash of milk. Eat with potato chips or bread.

What are they supposed to buy/eat?  A federally approved checklist of proteins, vegetables and grains?  Let them eat what they want, die young and get off the planet.
